Hey all, I’m Jamie

I created Hiking Grades to share all my Adventures while studying abroad in England.

A little about me, I'm a U.S. Army Veteran who deployed to Afghanistan and realized there is so much history, cultures, and people in our world that I wanted to learn about. After completing my time in the army, I decided to pursue a college education. Along the way, I chose to educate myself through experiences in different countries and not only in a classroom.

I’ve completed my bachelor's degree in Criminology and working on a second degree in history here in England. Once completed, I plan on attending law school.

In my spare time, I love being outdoors, either in the water or in the mountains. I'm an avid hiker and swimmer who uses these activities as therapy.

During my time at the University of Leeds, I'm excited to experience as much history and submerge myself in as many cultures as possible.

I am writing this blog to share my experiences, my highs, my lows, and everything in between.
